FROM BROKEN PART TO FUNCTIONAL REPLACEMENT

Explore our recent engineering and prototyping breakthroughs.

The Problem

Top view of a black industrial mounting bracket

Broken Tripod Handle
The original tripod handle was damaged and no longer usable. The goal was to recreate the component while preserving its critical dimensions, fit, and mechanical features.

3D Scanning

Capturing the Original Geometry
The damaged component was 3D scanned to capture its overall shape, dimensions, mounting features, and complex geometry for use as a digital reference.

CAD Reconstruction

Rebuilding the Part
Using the scan data as a reference, the component was rebuilt as a clean, editable CAD model. Damaged geometry was restored and functional features were recreated for accurate fit and operation.

3D Printing

Functional Replacement
The finished CAD model was prepared for additive manufacturing and 3D printed as a functional replacement part, restoring the original function of the tripod handle.
